I have had a passion for home architecture and construction methods since my early childhood. Although, I am a first-generation home builder, my father was a talented hobby woodworker. I grew up watching craftsman like Roy Underhill and Norm Abram with him on the weekend; and standing by his side in the shop as he built small furniture pieces and crafts for family. Eventually graduating to working on projects with him. I became obsessed with shows like This Old House and Hometime. While other kids watched cartoons on Saturday morning, I was watching Dean Johnson teach me how to properly plumb a bathroom vanity. The explosion of YouTube content has only made my obsession more solidified, as I am still watching many other homebuilders and trade professionals on a daily basis; always wanting to learn more and better myself as a builder.
